The primary role of the Spray Painter is to strive to always provide exceptional service in order to surpass customer expectations by representing Prestige Auto Restorations in a professional manner. You will deliver high-quality work in a reasonable time frame as assigned to you.
We pride ourselves on customer relations and maintaining a high quality of work with the understanding of prompt timing for our clients. Therefore, you must possess a desire to continually improve, learn and provide high quality control.
Key duties and responsibilities:
• Prepare parts and surfaces for painting or coating by removing dirt, rust, and any lose/old paint
• Mix and match the paint and tints precisely
• Pour paint into spray guns and ensure to adjust nozzles for accurate paint flow and thickness
• Properly mask areas which are not being painted and remove tape at the completion of the job
• Identify and touch up any defective areas
• Keep track of paint stock inventory and liaise with appropriate person
• Ensure the safe use of spray paint tools and equipment such as spray guns, shakers, pressure points etc.
• Conduct resprays as per job sheet requirements
• Removing and refitting panels
• Blocking and shaping high end classic cars
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the
required standard
• Ensure that you support other duties as assigned from time to time
• Comply with all lawful and reasonable directions of the business
Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum 2nd year apprentice
• Experience in restoration is preferred
• Be aligned with Glasurit, De Beer, Seetal Spray Booth
