Small Engine Mechanic

We are a small family owned business in the Yarra Valley and are currently looking for a full time experienced Small Engine Mechanic. Our brands include Husqvarna, Bushranger, MTD and Greenworks.

Responsibilities would include;

·        Service, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of small engine machinery such as lawn mowers, chainsaws, ride on mowers, brushcutters and other outdoor power equipment.

·        Assembly and pre-delivery of new products

·        General workshop duties as required such as cleaning, stocking and administrative tasks.

·        Communicate with customers regarding their repairs

·        Use of the computer to create and update workshop repairs including stock ordering, accessing parts diagrams and using diagnostic service tools.

·        Assist with showroom and other retail sales during busy periods

Skills and Experience

·        Full unrestricted Australian working rights

·        Proven experience in a similar role

·        Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

·        The ability to work effectively independently and in a team and be customer focused.

·        You must be highly motivated and have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take pride in your work.

·        Computer skills are essential.

·        A current forklift license is desirable.

·        Physical capability to work in a fast-paced environment

Your roster will include regular Saturday shifts at overtime rates.

Salary will be negotiated based on skills and experience.
