MOTOR MECHANIC

Job Description

We are looking for a full-time qualified Motor Mechanic at our Singhs Tyre And Auto Centre Pakenham site (Repco Authorised Service Station)with at least four years prior experience. You will be required to undertake the following duties.

Diagnosis of automotive vehicles (various makes and models).
Ability to figure out the fault, repair and provide the best possible solution
Mechanical repairs include periodic servicing, brake repair, clutches, and timing belt repair/replacement on different makes and models.
Inspect and run diagnostic tests to discover functional issues.
Dismantle and replace or repair the defective part or equipment.
Change engine and transmission oils.
Conduct quality checks before returning vehicles.
Roadworthy Testing
Adhere to and follow work safety guidelines, report any hazards, and perform general housekeeping and workshop maintenance.
Train other workshop staff.
Skills and Qualifications

Australian Qualifications
Certificate III + 3 Years on the Job Training
Certificate IV or 4 Years Experience in the occupation
Ability to work independently and unsupervised
AC Handling License is regarded but not essential
Great attention to detail
European experience is an asset & will be highly regarded but not essential.
We are looking for someone reliable, self-motivated, efficient, and has a good work ethic. Current driver’s licenses and additional licenses would be an advantage.
